Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on the 5th of September 1973 is an American actress.
McGowan made her debut film debut in 1992 in Encino Man (1992), and was
nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her performance
as the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). McGowan's first film appearance
was in the horror film Scream in 1996. Then, she appeared as the lead actress
in Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) as well as Going All the Way
(1997). In the early 2000s, McGowan became known to the public via her role as
Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan
was also a mainstay in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature
film Grindhouse (2007), for which she received nominations for the Saturn Award
as Best Actress and the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. In 2014, she was a
part in Chosen, an action thriller series. She dropped Planet 9, her first
album as a studio artist in the year 2018, and a repackaging followed in 2020.
McGowan was awarded the title of Silence Breakers in 2017 by Time magazine.
This award acknowledges McGowan's efforts to combat sexual harassment and
assault specifically in the context of Harvey Weinstein cases of sexual assault
and the Me Too movement. She has released an autobiography, Brave, and starred
in the four-part documentary series Citizen Rose, both in 2018.
