Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) who was the national director of Mary Kay, and Freddie
Wright an executive in the field of pharmaceuticals. She was raised in San
Diego. She began her professional career when she was 14 as a model. She worked
in Paris, Japan and Paris. After graduating from high school, she made the
decision to become an actress. She was offered a role on Santa Barbara's soap
opera (1984) and she was nominated for three daytime Emmys. Dane Witherspoon
was her fellow cast member, and she was married to Dane in 1986. She also
appeared in The Princess Bride (1987) in the title role. She was in the role of
Santa Barbara but left to appear in Denial (1990) with Jason Patric. She was
also in State of Grace (1990), when she met Sean Penn. They had daughters Dylan
Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood after a break with
one of her most memorable roles: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was extremely
beautiful and amazing. Next, she was in Toys (1992) together in which she
starred alongside Robin Williams. She gave an entertaining performance. Wright
played the role of Jenny in 1994's blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom
Hanks. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in the film as
Jenny. She was also given a tiny part in The Crossing Guard (1995), starring
Jack Nicholson. After she turned down 14 roles she was offered the lead role in
MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders (1996). It was directed and written by Pen Densham and
featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. She then
starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997), with William Hurt.
