Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on April 25 1969 in Katy, Texas, Her mother, Kjellfrid Irene (Andreassen) is a former nurse from Norway and midwife, of Norwegian, Kven (Finnish), and Swedish descent. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is a Swiss-born engineer. The couple were married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is an executive in marketing and was born on the 15th of February 1967. While working in the drama group, Renee became interested in acting. She took an acting class at the University of Texas (Austin) and started to think about acting as a career. She wanted to be an actor after she graduated, but Hollywood is not easy to enter. Renee decided not to leave Texas and went to audition in Houston to be cast in roles. Matthew McConaughey (another Hollywood rising star) was her pal while she was filming of Texas Chainsaw Massacre II: The Next Generation (1994). McConaughey was working on an idea that Renee was interested in, she auditioned, and was awarded the part in the movie Love and a .45 (1994) and was a huge success and earned her the praise of critics that she decided to relocate to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came in another film role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking at actresses like Bridget Fonda and Marisa Tomei when the performance of Zellweger on The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was certain he had discovered his Dorothy Boyd. Renee continued to enjoy her success with small independent films. The film received more praise from critics, and was confident enough that she was able to reenter large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was the co-star in One True Thing (1998). She also starred in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim Carrey, and soon after, she began to date Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
